I had a few days off from work and decided to use them to tackle the Camper-to-Office remodel! If you haven't subscribed to my second YouTube channel "The SheBusy Life" then you're missing out! Here's the latest episode on how everything is going!
Still rolling on...
Just in case you're wondering, I'm still rolling on! I've started up a second Youtube channel to follow my daily antics, the trailer remodel and just random bits of things that happen in my life. If you're interested in finding out just what makes me tick, hop on over to The SheBusy Life by clicking HERE.
I post videos here more frequently than I do on my regular school vlogging channel SheBusy Productions.
Here's episode 1 of The SheBusy Life:
A Change is Coming!!
It's been (what feels like) a million years since I've had the time to actually sit and write a blog!
Tons of things have changed and ALL for the better! I'm 3/4 of the way through my Junior year at Full Sail
University and I've been giving a lot of thought to what I plan on doing with my degree once I've earned it.
As my business has been growing (pretty steady I might add) and my office space inside my house has become
more and more limited,I've decided to take the plunge and buy my own office space!
I recently purchased this vintage 1970 Travelette Travel Trailer (who hasn't been named yet) to restore/renovate and turn into
additional office space. The trailer is small enough to fit in my driveway yet, large enough to hold a business meeting or tape a voiceover inside of it. I'm really excited about my "brand new" purchase and I can't wait to get started on the renovations.
Over the course of the remodeling process, I plan to keep track of the changes that I'm making with both written blogs and videos.
If you're interested in learning more about what I'm up to and how things are coming along, keep track here and on my Youtube channel.
LET'S EMBARK ON THIS NEW JOURNEY TOGETHER!!
Story written for my Creative Writing class.
This story was originally written on June 1, 2012 for my Creative Writing class. The image is NOT mine and is referenced and properly cited below. The assignment was to find a picture and build a character around it. I hope you enjoy it :)
Hi, I’m Emma and I’m five. What’s your name? Michael? That’s nice. My Momma tells me not to talk to strangers all the time but you seem okay. You’re not a stranger, are you? I didn’t think so. You seem nice. How did you make yourself look so glowy? Will I get to be glowy and shiny too? Later? Okay, I hope so. It’s pretty. Kinda like how Tinker Bell glows. They came in earlier, after lunch, and gave me crayons and paper. To keep my mind busy is what Momma said. I didn’t feel much like drawing, mostly like sleeping but, I drew Momma a picture anyhow. I tried to use all the colors they gave me but I really needed some more. Momma’s hair isn’t really green but I didn’t have the same color that she has in her hair. Maybe I’ll ask her what the color says on the bottle she uses and I can ask them for that color.
This was the day we got our new house. Daddy said the other one was “just a starter home” and I remember askin’ if this was the “finishing kind”. Daddy just laughed at me and mussed up my hair. I had a lot of hair then but I forgot to make it longer in my picture. Maybe I’ll add it in later. Momma said my hair was the color of sunshine and that always made me smile. They really love me ya know.
Bryan, that’s my brother, he used to push me on the swing set that Daddy bought for us. He plays nice with me sometimes. Sometimes, he doesn’t get to play with me at all. I don’t feel so well sometimes and he has to play by himself. Momma says that I’m “gonna be right as rain” soon and then I’ll get to go back out on the swings. You know what? We don’t really have a dog but I always wanted one so I drew him in too. His name is Captain Midnight. When I get better Daddy says I can have whatever I want so I’m gonna ask for a black dog just like this one.
Can you keep a secret? Good. Sometimes I play like I’m asleep when the people come in and talk to Momma. I don’t think I’m supposed to hear what they’re saying so I try to lay really still and keep my eyes shut. Sometimes they say stuff to her that makes her cry. When that happens she holds my hand and puts her head down on my bed. It’s not really my bed though. It belongs to the hospital. I’m just using it until I get better. You wanna know another secret? Okay but you have to promise not to tell this one. You promise? Okay, good. I don’t think I’m gonna get better this time. It’s not like last year when I got what they called “remission” and my hair grew back and I got to go back out and play with Bryan. I’m too tired this time. You have a secret to tell me? Go ahead I’m the best secret keeper! You’re a what? So that’s why you’re glowing! Am I gonna be one too? Sure I’d like to be one! Now? Like, right now? Do I get to say goodbye? Yeah, I think she’d cry too much to and besides, I can’t stay awake any more. I think I’m just gonna do like Grammy says and “rest my eyes”.
Her name was Emma and she was five.

Great News!
I can hardly wait! I've got some great news to share with you all TOMORROW!!!
On another note, SheBusy Productions is getting ready to celebrate it's FIRST BIRTHDAY and you're all invited to join. . . in our BIRTHDAY GIVEAWAY CONTEST! I'll have more details for you all shortly. . . this is just a teaser post but, TRUST ME. . . you're gonna love what I've got up my sleeve!
IT'S OVER. . . . kinda!
It's been a good while since I posted an update but I have a ton of explaining to do :). If you haven't seen my update videos on my Youtube channel, I have no clue what you've been doing. Just kidding, I know you watched them ;)
I've survived my Freshman year at Full Sail University and I'm not in month 2 of my Sophomore year *insert applause here*. After allowing my last class, The Fundamentals of Physics, to nearly push me into an early grave, I've moved on to Art History. I'm in week one and it's not seeming terribly awful (like physics was) and I'm confident that I'll pull a strong "A" in this one. I finished out Physics with a "B" (1.5 points from a B+ but who's counting) and I'm totally okay with that. It was a struggle to get through and I'm soooo thankful that IT'S OVER!
My technical package (camera and other goodies) should be arriving soon so be expecting a great unboxing!
OMG English Comp!
I've finally finished my four week English Composition class! That class was probably one of the MOST brain-exhausting classes that I've had to date. It wasn't because the class was hard (I never got anything lower than an A) but I found the instructors style challenging. We had NO Wimba (virtual class) Sessions, hardly any feedback on our assignments, and little to NO classmate interaction! In the past, my classes were easier because we had weekly classes where we could ask questions, chat with each other, and get to know exactly what our instructor wanted from us. With this class. . . we were kind of on our own. Yes you can email your instructors but I PREFER to see who I'm talking to AT SOME POINT!
This class was also different because we had TWO PAPERS due every week. They ranged in wording demands but, they were usually between 400-600 words each! Once we had completed our papers we had to post them in the activity FOR ALL TO SEE! Now personally, I didn't mind others reading my work but some of the papers I read were. . . interesting. . . (I'm going to leave it at that) It made me wonder what kind of grades they were getting. AND SPEAKING OF GRADES, when I received a 100 on a paper I would go to read the comments from the instructor and . . . there weren't any. . . Really? You couldn't just say what was good, what you liked, and what was interesting? I think my former instructors have spoiled me!
Oh well, all is great and I finished the class with a 98.5 (I used a comma wrong and he didn't like my sentence in one post) and I'm on to Storytelling! This class looks like it's gonna be a good one!
Until next time!
My Film Foundations Final Project
I finished Film Foundations with a BANG and pulled an A+ for my final grade! Let the applause begin! Here's what I did for my final "Instructional" how-to video!
http://youtu.be/SODpMZRdAc8
I'm not happy but. . . moving on
So the final grades were posted for Behavioral Science and I got a B. . . I hate getting Bs. I mean, they're fine for everybody else, just not me. I know I could have done better but I was still holding out hope for a better grade. . . *sigh* I was mad for an entire day. . . THEN. . . I got my first grade for my Film Foundations class project and it was a 100! My instructor said that my video was "probably one of the best examples" he's seen! That made the B not as important in the regular scheme of things. I'm throwing myself fully into these next few assignments and when the class is over, I'll post them all on here for you all to see :)
First Week of Film Foundations.
This is the end of Week 1 in Film Foundations and I'm truly intrigued by this class. I have an assignment due tomorrow that I need to be finishing up right now. . . I'll get to it in a second. It's called "Crew Position". This week we read about all of the different positions on a crew and now we have to figure out which one we would like to be and how that job suits us. I want to be a Producer/Director and so that's what I'm going to focus on. We could either write a 500 word essay, do a 3-5 minute video (narrated with pictures) or a "Presentation" with slides. I'm doing the video. When I'm done and it's graded, I'll post it here to let you all see how it turned out.
WIsh me luck on week 2!
The end of BSC!
I had to claw my way through Behavioral Science just because I couldn't really remain focused in it. It was a great class with great information but my mind just didn't really want to absorb the text. . . UNTIL THE END! This last week of BSC has been so informative and I've learned soooo much! Never did I think that I would actually learn something about myself, as a person, while taking a class to learn about others. I'll definitely be implementing some of the techniques that I learned during this class into my life! I've met new people, made a few friends and definitely made some serious changes in my behavior! Next up. . . Film Foundations!!
Almost Week 4 of Behavioral Science
Whew! These last two week have been kind of rough for me. I think that week off for summer break actually BROKE my stride! Either way, I'm still pulling through and maintaining GREAT grades. I've really enjoyed our weekly Wimba (online class) Sessions and the fact that I get points for attending is a GREAT BIG PLUS! If any of you out there is thinking of entering a career in any aspect of the Entertainment Industry, I highly suggest that you check out Full Sail University. There's a lot of naysayers out there but, take it from a student, IT'S A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!
It's our summer break from classes and I'm on vacation in Myrtle Beach! I'm loving this beach life. Rest and relaxation is just what I needed!
FInal grades for IMA

Here are the final grades for the Intro to Media Arts class. I'm still beating myself up over that 85 but, what's done is done! I'm really proud of myself for managing to get an average this high. I've been out of school a VERRRRRY long time and this just gives me motivation to keep moving. I CAN DO THIS!
IMA Grades
New feature coming soon!
I LIVE at the movie theater on the weekends so I'm going to start doing movie reviews for you guys. I've seen some pretty good ones and some. . . some that should have never left the editing studio. I'm looking forward to letting you guys know what I think about what "Hollywood" has been offering!
