I'm not happy but. . . moving on

So the final grades were posted for Behavioral Science and I got a B. . . I hate getting Bs. I mean, they're fine for everybody else, just not me. I know I could have done better but I was still holding out hope for a better grade. . . *sigh* I was mad for an entire day. . . THEN. . . I got my first grade for my Film Foundations class project and it was a 100! My instructor said that my video was "probably one of the best examples" he's seen! That made the B not as important in the regular scheme of things. I'm throwing myself fully into these next few assignments and when the class is over, I'll post them all on here for you all to see :)

First Week of Film Foundations.

This is the end of Week 1 in Film Foundations and I'm truly intrigued by this class. I have an assignment due tomorrow that I need to be finishing up right now. . . I'll get to it in a second. It's called "Crew Position". This week we read about all of the different positions on a crew and now we have to figure out which one we would like to be and how that job suits us. I want to be a Producer/Director and so that's what I'm going to focus on. We could either write a 500 word essay, do a 3-5 minute video (narrated with pictures) or a "Presentation" with slides. I'm doing the video. When I'm done and it's graded, I'll post it here to let you all see how it turned out.
WIsh me luck on week 2!

The end of BSC!

I had to claw my way through Behavioral Science just because I couldn't really remain focused in it. It was a great class with great information but my mind just didn't really want to absorb the text. . . UNTIL THE END! This last week of BSC has been so informative and I've learned soooo much! Never did I think that I would actually learn something about myself, as a person, while taking a class to learn about others. I'll definitely be implementing some of the techniques that I learned during this class into my life! I've met new people, made a few friends and definitely made some serious changes in my behavior! Next up. . . Film Foundations!!

Behavioral Science!

This class looks like it's going to be pretty interesting. . . There are a bunch of assignments that are available each week and you get to pick which ones you want to do. I haven't decided which ones I want to do yet, I'm kind of just feeling my way around but, I need to decide soon. We have to post on a discussion board by Wednesday night and I need to get crackin on that! Either way, I'm sure I'll pass this class. I've got great MOTIVATION!

NEW CLASS. . .?

So I signed on this morning to look at my new class and the site is down for system maintenance. . . I really wish they would send out an email when this is going to happen. . . I wanted to look at my grades again!

I'm a little upset but *shrugs* what's a girl to do?

Beginning of Week 4

This is my fourth and final week in the Intro to Media Arts class and I must say, I've enjoyed every minute of it! Our last big assignment for this class is creating an iWeb page, compress it and submit it to our instructor. I've been working on mine since last week (it's due next Tuesday) but I'm going to put the finishing touches on it and submit it this week. I like to get my work in as early as possible just incase I run into any problems.
Even though I've only been attending Full Sail University for a little less than a month, I have really learned a lot and I'm loving the experience! If you've been contemplating a career in music engineering, music production, entertainment business, gaming, film or just about any other career there is. . . check out Full Sail FIRST!

In the meantime. . .

I'm 70% done with my last project for this IMA class. I think I'm kind of stalling just because I don't want it to be over. . . in the meantime though, I'm editing some music in GarageBand and making movie scores just for fun. I'm trying to sharpen all of the skills that I've learned in this class so far. When I'm done with it, I may post it or use it as the score for a short that I'm going to upload soon.
Keep your fingers crossed for me. . . it's been a great beginning and I hope this continues on FOREVER!

Week 3's WIMBA Virtual Class.

Tonight we had a Virtual Class via a website called Wimba. I really like these classes because it kinda helps me feel connected to the other students. It doesn't feel like I'm completely alone out here in education-land! It helps to be able to put a voice to the pictures that I see.

This class is almost over and I'm going to miss it. Introduction to Media Arts has been very informative and an absolute treat!

New iWeb Assignment

Today I noticed a new assignment available. . . iWeb. . . Personally, I know nothing about iWeb and I think that this might be the first project to really make me sweat :) Although it's not due until the 27th, I'm going to research iWeb tutorials on Youtube and do some reading. This should prove to be very interesting. Here goes nothing. . .

week 3 boredom!

I finished all of my assignments for week 3 and now I have nothing left to do. . . I've applied to join several of the Full Sail University student groups with hopes of networking with others. Any support along this journey is always greatly appreciated. I've even been thinking about petitioning to start my own Student Organization. . . that's a thought. . . maybe I'll look into that.
